OUR PHILOSOPHY
What Doctor’s Lab Japan Has Ultimately Achieved —
SKIN MINIMALISM®︎
— Bringing a “Simple Is Best” philosophy to skincare —
Skincare has evolved alongside humanity since ancient times, remaining a constant focus in the pursuit of beauty. As social environments shift and awareness of aesthetics continues to rise, skin concerns have become universal — regardless of age or gender.
Today, as values around consumption change, more people seek to live simply — surrounded only by what is truly necessary, defined by quality and personal preference. In this context, shouldn’t skincare also evolve? To maintain youthful, well-hydrated skin, there is a growing need for solutions that combine simplicity with high functionality — while supporting the skin’s intrinsic ability to care for itself.
Rather than prioritizing convenience or speed, we have focused on a fundamental, root-cause approach. Through extensive research into delivering the ultimate form of simple yet effective skincare, we found our answer in human stem cells.
Doctor’s Lab Japan offers gender-neutral aging skincare designed for all. Our goal is to create a skincare line that transcends age and gender — one that can be trusted and embraced over time — while redefining the conventional standards of aging care and contributing meaningful value to society.

OUR R&D
Human Stem Cell Derived Conditioned Media
The Key to Enabling SKIN MINIMALISM
“Human stem cells” are specialized cells within the body that play a vital role in maintaining life. The fact that our bodies are able to sustain themselves and continue functioning is evidence of stem cell activity — essentially, they act as the body’s own internal repair system.
These stem cells are found throughout the body, including in bone marrow, umbilical cord tissue, skin, adipose (fat) tissue, neural tissue, liver, pancreas, and muscle. With ongoing clinical research, their applications have expanded, and they are now widely utilized in regenerative medicine.
As stem cells proliferate, they secrete a wide range of biologically active substances — such as growth factors, cytokines (low-molecular-weight proteins), collagen, and hyaluronic acid — all of which are associated with skin health. The conditioned medium is obtained by carefully collecting only the supernatant of the culture solution, which contains these beneficial secreted components.

OUR SOLUTION
What Doctor’s Lab Japan Can Deliver
— The efficacy of conditioned media enables a truly minimal skincare approach —
In the field of dermatological treatments utilizing human stem cells, studies have reported effects such as skin regeneration, reduction of wrinkles, improved elasticity, and reduction of pigmentation. During this research process, it has also been revealed that the culture medium used to grow human stem cells contains a rich array of substances that help prevent oxidative stress in the skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles — an insight that has attracted significant attention.
More specifically, human stem cell – derived conditioned media is considered to offer potential benefits such as:
– Prevention and improvement of wrinkles
– Brightening effects
– Improvement of scars and inflammation
– Support for hair growth and regeneration
That said, there are various types of stem cells, and further research is still required to fully understand the mechanisms and efficacy of conditioned media. To address these challenges, Doctor’s Lab Japan operates its own research facilities and continues to advance studies on different types of conditioned media.
